“NEW BEGINNINGS” is a group art show centered on change, opportunity, and rebirth featuring 20 contributors from BUCK’s Asian Employee Resource Group (ERG). The show represents artists from across the globe and is on view at Asian American women-owned cafe and creative venue, Land to Sea in New York through September 2024.
I participated this group art show in July, 2024.
“NEW BEGINNINGS” is inspired by the artists’ own experiences of moving to new homes, starting new jobs, forming new lives, and belonging to immigrant families and communities with a history of similar transformations. Through this lens of personal change and auspicious first steps, the artists explore the diversity of visual media, individual experience, and Asian identities so often reduced to homogeneity.

For me, new beginnings, there lies an eternal cycle which is marked by dawn, the golden hour, and gloaming.
From the series of painting, we spot moon's shadow from the reflection of dawn, catching glimpses of sunrise amidst the darkness. There’s no exact ending and beginning; rather, it is a journey of falling and rebirth, where hope gleams like a silver lining.
